CAPO UNITED 2 - 0 NEWBIES FC

A solid W for the Capos who take all three points to draw level with league leaders AG Roma on points, the only hindrance being the two-goal difference which separates 1st and 2nd. The hosts had a pretty shaky start to the game, easily losing possession of the ball constantly but eventually grew into the game after Kwame scored a low shot into the right bottom corner, nutmegging one of the Newbies' defenders on its way. Katari also made one big save to deny Nkunim on the scoresheet. Wright doubled the hosts' lead shortly afterward with 3 minutes to game time. Capo United's captain Nkunim urged his team on to try and squeeze two more goals in with the time remaining. The team piled on more shots nevertheless could not score once more.

The result means both the Noobs and Capos stay in 8th and 2nd places respectively though the Capos have a chance to take the top spot next week when they meet archrivals, AG Roma FC in a potential thriller.
